Municipal transport: Take bus 119 from the airport to the terminal station "Dejvicka" of the subway line A (green), or bus 100 from the airport to the terminal station "Zlicin" of the subway line B (yellow), see the map of the subway lines including the station names (166 kB). Then continue by the subway.
Taxi: Please, be careful when using taxi in Prague. The foreigners are often considerably overcharged. The prices are free and have to be settled before the use of taxi. The price of the taxi from the airport to the centre of the city should not exceed 600 Kc (note: 23 times the price of the municipal transport, see "Tickets for the municipal transport" below). The information about the prices of taxi should be found at the airport.
Subway (metro) and walk: Line C (red), to the station "Nadrazi Holesovice". Use the exit in the front of the train with which you arrived. The path from the subway station to the faculty is shown in the detailed street map of the "Troja" area (61 kB) by the dotted red line (about 12 min).
Subway (metro) and bus: Line C (red), to the station "Nadrazi Holesovice". Use the exit at the rear of the train with which you arrived. On the surface, take bus 102, 201 or 210. Leave the bus at the first stop behind the bridge over the river. The name of the station is "Kuchynka".
Taxi: Please, tell the driver: Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Troja, glass building behind the bridge "Most Barikadniku", at the right-hand side (In Czech: Matematicko-fyzikalni fakulta, Troja, sklenena budova za mostem Barikadniku, vpravo).
When traveling from the central Prague, the faculty department building at Troja is a high, twelve-floor glass building on the right-hand side just behind the bridge "Most Barikadniku" across the Vltava river. The entrance is located in the low building right to the department building (behind it when viewed from the bus station). The Department of Geophysics is located on the uppermost, 12th floor.
Subway (metro) and walk: Line C (red), to the station "I.P.Pavlova" or "Vysehrad". The faculty building "Ke Karlovu 3" is located in between the subway stations, see the detailed street map of the "Karlov" area (55 kB).
When entering the faculty building "Ke Karlovu 3", you should pass through the corridor in the first (slightly higher than the entrance) or second floor across the building to the back staircase and go upstairs to the third floor. The Department of Geophysics is located directly at the back staircase.

The local currency is the Czech crown, "Kc" (international code "CZK").
