Asymptotic high-frequency methods in the computation of seismic waves. Seismic ray method and its extensions. Gaussian beam method. Dynamic ray tracing. Complete ray tracing in 2-D and 3-D structures. 2.5-D modelling. Computation of synthetic seismograms in laterally varying structures.
Finite extent source simulations:
Kinematic source modelling. Seismic wavefields due to complex sources in complex media.
Inverse problems:
Structural imaging of seismic reflection data. Migration.
